Certificate of Occupancy
Issued at completion of all work covered by the permit. This becomes a certification that all work is completed in accordance with the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code.

Continued Certificate of Occupancy
Issued after an inspector of each discipline has completed a visual inspection.

Temporary Certificate of Occupancy
May be issued if the majority of the work is completed and approved with no outstanding life safety issues. Temporary Certificates are issued only for emergencies and only for a specific period of time.
