Camden Cares is a volunteer based pilot program provided by the City of Camden and made possible through public-private partnerships. This neighborhood revitalization initiative is offered free of charge to eligible City residents. The program aims to assist residents while improving the quality of life citywide.
Through Camden Cares, the City connects local volunteers to residents who are in need of help with completing minor exterior homes improvements, identified through property code violations. While most residential violations can be quickly resolved, residents who are not able to correct violations due to physical impairments or other hardships may find aid through this one-time program.
Violations may include:
- Trash Removal
- Limited tree trimming
- Limited exterior repairs
- Basic Landscaping
Eligibility to apply:
- Reside in Camden on a full-time basis
- Senior citizen (55 or older)
- Demonstrate a physical impairment or handicap
- Own a home or have a valid lease agreement
