Over the course of his Navy career, he served in a variety of assignments at sea and ashore. Most notably, as Commander, Amphibious Squadron SIX, he served as Commodore, KEARSARGE Amphibious Ready Group acting as a Task Force Commander in the European, Africa, and Central Command theatres. He was also Commanding Officer, USS OAK HILL (LSD 51). Ashore, he performed multiple tours in The Pentagon as part of the Joint Staff and Chief of Naval Operations Staff. He was also an Assistant Inspector General in the Office of the Naval Inspector General.
Daniel received his Juris Doctor Degree, magna cum laude, from the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law. He also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Strategic Studies and National Security Affairs from the United States Naval War College. His undergraduate work was completed at Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and Social Policy.
Daniel’s military decorations include the Legion of Merit (two awards), Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Defense Meritorious Service Medal and Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal (six awards). He was a Dean’s Fellow at the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law and a recipient of the Earl H. Davis Memorial Prize for Advocacy
Ms. Banks-Spearman is a graduate of Camden High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Government from Harvard University. She holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia University Law School and a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University School of Architecture and Urban Planning.
Sharon has a B.A. in Russian Area Studies and Political Science from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN and a Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, TN. Sharon is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U. S. Supreme Court. Sharon is a member of the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys (NJILGA).
She received her Bachelor’s Degree, Cum Laude, from Rutgers University, Camden, and her Juris Doctor from the Kline School of Law at Drexel University. Amia is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. She is a member of the Camden County Bar Association, the Barristers Association of PA, and a Past-President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Bar Association Women Lawyers Division.
